On a project we’ve been working on and hope to announce publicly soon, we’ve been taking a long look at the advertisements in Coal Region newspapers in the mid-19th century. So here’s a look at what advertisers were selling in a February 1872 edition of the Lykens Register, the paper of note in northern Dauphin County’s small mining region.
