We are excited to announce a new collaboration between Wynning History and Civil War Pittsburgh!
On Sunday, February 17 at 1 PM, we will be broadcasting live from Gettysburg National Military Park, detailing stories from Pennsylvania soldiers who fought there in July 1863.
Here are the event details:
The Battle of Gettysburg was a costly three-day-long engagement which resulted in a staggering 58,000 casualties. Among those involved in the fighting were 85 units of Pennsylvanians; a total of 34,530 soldiers from across the Keystone State.
Catch this Facebook Live-only event as Rich Condon from “Civil War Pittsburgh” and Jake Wynn from “Wynning History” move across Gettysburg battlefield, sharing stories and accounts from their respective sides of the state.
We will be telling stories of soldiers from the Coal Region who fought at Gettysburg, detailing their experiences and how they used the Gettysburg battlefield to immortalize their Civil War experience. Rich will be telling the story of soldiers from the Pittsburgh area.
