Just a quick update!

After two years of putting it off, I’ve started writing over at Substack in addition to the Coal Region reading and writing you’ll find here.

I’ve had my fill of Facebook’s outrage machine and the flood of AI-generated “history” crowding out the real thing. Substack still feels like a better day on the internet – a place to actually share writing and ideas. Over there, you’ll find behind-the-scenes looks at my tourism and public history work, my take on the day’s events, and musings on the history I’m experiencing.
