In Episode 3 of “Masters of the Air,” the 100th Bomb Group is part of the 8th Air Force’s daring mission to Regensburg and Schweinfurt to bomb German industrial targets in the summer of 1943.

The episode reveals the terrors experienced by American fliers in the skies over Nazi Germany in the early stages of the air war over Europe.
